Hello! I'm french so if my english is bad, sorry ^^

I have a Samsung galaxy J5 2016 and it's updated to Android 7.1.1
I tried to install a custom recovery but it's not working.. when i make the "combo key" (volume up + home + power) the smartphone display the "stock recovery" and i can't install SuperSU or other rom.. i think it's the good way for install RR (a lot of guy tell me "it's a good rom" and i would like test it but if it's not the good way to install RR please tell me the good way.

  • PS: i tried to install a custom recovery with Odin, and the custom recovery was TWRP

you dont need odin just flash custom recovery like twrp or cm but the custom recovery must support youre device then flash custom rom
  • Thanks, if i don't need odin, how can i flash twrp?
  • Oh i forgot, i don't use the original cable of my smartophone.
  • root youre phone and then flash the custom recovery via the original recovery :)
  • TWRP not working for me.. i tried to install it with Odin but not work :/
